Curved Concrete is a sculptural, freestanding staircase unit shaped through section drawing and physical modeling. Inspired by Udaipur’s layered history, it explores movement, rest, and sensory engagement through carved niches, cantilevered platforms, and intricate spatial connections. Rising to 9'-2”, it integrates programmed moments beyond circulation. Balancing solidity and fluidity, the design carves inhabitable voids, creating a rhythm of movement and pause. Material selections—wood, glass, and concrete—enhance structural contrast and lightness, making the staircase both sculptural and experiential.
